Ken Norton

PASTOR Ken Norton

Ken Norton serves as the Director of the Voice of Prophecy Bible School, bringing decades of experience in pastoral ministry, evangelism, and leadership. He holds Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Andrews University and has dedicated his life to spreading the gospel, equipping lay members, and engaging in mission work around the world.

Ken’s passion for ministry began in college when he spent a year as a Student Missionary, an experience that deeply shaped his heart for missions. After graduating from Southern College (now Southern Adventist University), he and his wife, Julie, moved to Thailand as missionaries, where they opened an English language school in Ubon Ratchathani. Their time there ignited a deep love for studying the Bible with others, especially those who had no prior knowledge of Jesus or had misconceptions about God.

Upon returning to the United States, Ken completed seminary and began his pastoral ministry in Florida. Sensing God’s continued call to overseas service, he and his family moved to Palau, where Ken served as District Pastor. After their time in Palau, they returned to Florida, where Ken served as the Church Planting Coordinator for the Florida Conference. He and Julie then established The Lay Institute for Evangelism (LIFE) in Orlando, training church members in effective lay ministry. Following this, he pastored in Apopka, Florida, before transitioning to Southern Adventist University, where he served as the Pastor for Outreach and Evangelism at the Collegedale Church in Tennessee.

Ken’s leadership journey continued when he was called to serve as the President of the Guam-Micronesia Mission, where he spent five years overseeing the church’s mission efforts across the region. He later moved to Bozeman, Montana, where he served as President of the Montana Conference, leading the church in ministry and evangelism efforts throughout the state. In March 2025, he began his current role at the Voice of Prophecy, where he continues his passion for equipping laypeople to share the gospel.

Throughout his ministry, Ken has started multiple Discover Bible Schools, trained church members on how to give Bible studies and lead small groups, and conducted evangelistic series both in the United States and internationally—leading to many baptisms and transformed lives.

Beyond ministry, Ken enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, biking, metal detecting, and playing the saxophone. He and his wife, Julie, reside in Loveland, Colorado, and cherish time spent with their two young adult children, Ken and Michelle.
