Alex Rodriguez is Associate Speaker and Evangelism Director at the Voice of Prophecy and most recently, the host of the VOP’s new bridge event, MindFit. MindFit is a 4-part docuseries on mental illness shedding light on the growing mental health crisis in the world.
Alex’s ministry and evangelism training began through music ministry during his College years at Southern Adventist University where he was a part of a singing group. He eventually moved to Cookeville, TN where he was active in singing evangelism and co-preached evangelistic meetings with the local pastor. It was in Cookeville that he felt the call to full-time ministry and began studying at Andrews University through the in-ministry program allowing him to remain employed locally while chipping away at a ministry degree and eventually leading to full-time pastoral employment at the Indiana Conference.
Ministry was a change of careers for Pastor Alex who concurrently spent 15 years in emergency services–12 years in law enforcement and 9 years in the fire service. Alex also taught at the grade school level both the D.A.R.E. curriculum and physical education at the highschool level.
Pastor Alex now dedicates his time to communicating the love of God and the blessing of redemption through spoken word and song. He is a passionate speaker and educator gifted in the ability to systematically present a topic with clarity and simplicity. He has studied Health, Physical Education and Recreation along with Systematic Theology and Church History. His other topics of interest are Prayer, the power of the Holy Spirit, church growth and evangelism, and leadership.
Alex’s hobbies include wood working, photography, water sports, and hobby farming. He and his wife Stacey and their five children reside in Berthoud, Colorado.
